This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining internal software applications, data infrastructure, system integrations, and reporting solutions that support business operations. The Software Engineer will work closely with operational and business stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions, improve data accessibility, and drive innovation through automation and AI-enabled tools.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications using C#/.NET technologies Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, reporting pipelines, and data architecture Build, maintain, and support integrations with claims management platforms including FileHandler (JW Software) and Trackops Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and third-party system integrations Develop and support ETL processes and data warehouse infrastructure Create and maintain business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and integration issues Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Research, implement, and support AI/ML tools that enhance operational workflows and business intelligence capabilities Document technical processes, system configurations, and application functionality Participate in testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of software solutions Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives Perform additional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field OR 2-5 years of professional full-stack software development experience Strong proficiency in C# and .NET development Advanced SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server experience Experience building and consuming REST APIs Experience working in Windows Server environments Experience with ETL pipelines, data warehousing, or business intelligence solutions Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications Experience in the insurance, claims management, or third-party administrator (TPA) industry Familiarity with FileHandler, Trackops, or similar claims administration platforms Experience designing and maintaining enterprise software integrations Exposure to AI, machine learning, or large language model (LLM) technologies Experience supporting data warehousing, analytics, and reporting environments Knowledge of application architecture, software design patterns, and secure development practices Experience with source control systems and modern development workflows Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and independently drive solutions Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Desire to help build and contribute to a world-class engineering teamWork EnvironmentThis job description outlines the primary responsibilities of the role but is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties.
