This position is responsible for assembling, fitting, and fabricating piping systems in a controlled shop environment to support commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret blueprints and isometric drawings, perform pipe layout and fit-up, and work closely with welders and fabricators to produce high-quality piping assemblies while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities * Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping specifications. * Measure, verify, and prepare pipe cut lengths according to drawings. * Perform pipe layout, fitting, and assembly in the fabrication shop. * Position and secure piping components for welding. * Inspect fabricated assemblies for accuracy and quality. * Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and pipe fabrication machinery. * Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and shop organization. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications * *2+ years of pipefitting experience* in a fabrication shop or construction environment preferred. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications. * Experience working with carbon steel and stainless-steel piping. * Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. * Proficiency in pipe layout, measuring, and fitting techniques. * Ability to troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Must be able to successfully pass a *MIG Positioner Rollout Certification on a 2\" Schedule 80 weld test.* Education * High School Diploma or GED required. * Trade school or vocational training preferred. Physical Requirements * Ability to stand for extended periods. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. * Ability to work safely in a fabrication shop environment. Requirements * OSHA 10 certification preferred. * Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. * Must successfully complete a *MIG Positioner Rollout Certification on a 2\" Schedule 80 weld test* as part of the hiring process.
