At Solovis, you'll join a tech-forward, growth-minded team that believes in learning fast, thinking big, and delivering meaningful impact for asset owners worldwide.The Head of Legal reports directly to the CFO and serves as the company's senior legal authority across commercial contracting, corporate governance, and M&A integration. This is a hands-on, high-volume role built for a seasoned in-house counsel who thrives at the intersection of commercial execution and legal rigor. You'll work closely with sales and customer success teams to close deals, negotiate and standardize contracts, and build the legal infrastructure that scales with our growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end negotiation, drafting, and review of commercial contracts, including software licenses, service agreements, renewals, and partnership deals, ensuring they align with business objectives and minimize risk Partner directly with sales and customer success to accelerate deal velocity while managing risk and maintaining contract consistencyEstablish and enforce the company's global legal policies and internal controls, ensuring compliance with local and international lawsLead the legal integration of acquired entities, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, legal compliance, and seamless transition of contracts and IP assetsCompetenciesFocuses on aligning individual efforts with the broader goals and values of the organization, enhancing enterprise successInfluences and advises senior stakeholders without slowing down executionSkilled negotiator who protects the company while preserving key commercial relationshipsDeep knowledge of SaaS and software contract terms — licensing models, IP rights, liability frameworks, and data provisionsBusiness-oriented judgment that balances legal risk with commercial pragmatismRequirementsJD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction requiredMinimum 2 years of in-house legal counsel experience at an established software or SaaS companyProven track record negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts in a fast-paced B2B software environmentStrong command of software-specific contract terms including SaaS licensing, IP ownership, data rights, and liability limitationsExperience working directly with sales and customer success teams to support deal closure and renewal negotiationsExposure to M&A transactions and corporate matters, with the ability to manage through outside counsel relationshipsNice to HavesExperience at a PE-backed or high-growth SaaS companyHands-on M&A due diligence and entity integration experienceFamiliarity with contract lifecycle management toolsExperience building or standardizing a commercial contracts functionWhy You Should ApplySolovis is a PE-backed platform in active growth mode.This is not a role where you'll be maintaining what someone else built.
