Import/Export Agent Ontario, CA Job: Import/Export Agent Location: Ontario, CA Pay rate: $60K-$70k We are assisting our Global Logistics client in hiring an experienced Import/ Export Operations Agent (Air and Ocean) to handle all aspects of domestic and international freight forwarding shipments, and handle transportation based on customer requests. Description: -Receive and validate customer order (Cargowise Org, Credit, Export POA, Restricted Commodities, Cargo Value, Embargoes/Sanctions, Additional Services, Documentation Requirements, Incoterms) -Identify best routing or transit option per customer request/SOP Anticipate and secure quotation from vendors for all potential order costs Issue customer or overseas office/agent quotation & confirm acceptance. -Understand customs clearance requirements -Book with carriers. Use TSA Known Shipper Check, secure booking from Airline Dispatch -Determine and File AES according to USPPI instructions (if applicable) Receive and validate master air waybill: direct and consolidated. Track and confirm flight departure and update system - Arrange pick up of cargo at port, process all documents such as BOLs & DO , declarations including all electronic information -Coordinate Air waybill according to customer & destination requirements. Send Pre-Alert to overseas office/agent Confirm final costs, ensuring all are accrued and final profitability check complete Invoice to customer. -And other tasks assigned by management Qualifications: -Previous experience with Freight Forwarding, both Air and Ocean Import/Export operations and documentation, 3 or more years preferred -Knowledge of freight movement, air vendors, air space configurations, container loads, special loading constraints, regulatory requirements, pricing, and service routing -Knowledge of CargoWise or similar software, Intermediate or higher knowledge of MS Office or Google Workspace -Strong work ethic, organized, dependable and professional Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Ability to Relocate: Ontario, CA 91761: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
