This position is located in Glenview, IL.\nEssential Functions/Responsibilities:\nDemonstrate a passion for crushing lung disease and embody CHEST values: honor the team, lead with integrity, leverage passion, cultivate innovation, and have serious fun.\nCollaborate with product owner, developers, testers, UX designer, and analysts in an agile environment to effectively and iteratively build systems, customize applications, and deploy new solutions.\nModernize legacy workflows by incorporating automation, intelligent features, and SaaS-based enhancements.\nIntegrate LLM-powered functions into CHEST’s applications and APIs.\nPrototype and evaluate emerging tools to strengthen CHEST’s digital products.\nEvaluate and integrate third-party AI solutions when appropriate.\nCreate, enhance, and maintain technical documentation.\nParticipate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.\nSupport deployments and occasional off-hours maintenance.\nCreate, enhance, and maintain stable products, and implement efficiencies to reduce?application support costs and technical debt.\nAssess when to develop in-house solutions versus leveraging third-party services, optimizing for cost, performance, and sustainability.\nStay current with advancements in LLM deployment, model serving, and responsible AI practices.\nComplete other tasks and projects as assigned.\nRequirements:\nRequired Qualifications and Competencies:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience\nProficiency in Python and SQL/T-SQL for development and analysis\nExperience with C#, .NET, and JavaScript/TypeScript in a production environment\nExperience building and maintaining APIs and integrations\nExperience (workplace, academic, personal projects, or internships) working with LLMs, generative AI, or related tools\nHands-on work with LLM tools and vector retrieval\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipeline tools\nStrong analytical skills and the ability to deliver well-architected solutions independently and within teams\nSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of quickly learning new tools and environments\nAbility to apply modern development methodologies and best practices.\nDesired Qualifications and Competencies:\nExperience in AI deployment or applied Machine Learning\nKnowledge of open-source AI agent frameworks\nExperience with RAG patterns and model-evaluation\nFamiliarity with MLOps practices\nExperience with automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell or similar)\nExperience?with?Agile/SCRUM, JIRA, and Confluence\nExperience extending or integrating enterprise SaaS platforms.\nBenefits\nWhile we offer benefits that you’d expect from any forward-thinking, progressive organization, we offer a lot of extras too, including the standardization of a hybrid working environment.
