Risk Analyst

Risk Analyst Humboldt Merchant Services - Remote Humboldt Merchant Services is a merchant payment processor, providing payment acceptance for retail and specialty markets. This is is a remote hourly position with work hours Wednesday-Sunday. 9-6 pm ET The primary focus of the Risk Analyst is to monitor merchant accounts and identify inconsistent merchant behavior. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical person that enjoys investigation and puzzle solving. Strong internet research skills coupled with a fraud investigation background is highly desired. What you'll do: Identify and investigate inconsistent transactions with Card Issuing Banks, consumers, merchants, and all relevant parties. Monitor merchant chargeback activity. Daily communication with merchants being audited. Potential to speak to agents and merchant customers to complete a merchant audit to identify liabilities. Make decisions regarding merchant payments and reserve requirements. Consult with appropriate law enforcement agencies when required. Learn and maintain a basic understanding of card brand regulations. Communicate to merchants account restrictions and cancellations. Utilize Internet tools to gather information useful in determining account risk. Other related duties assigned by management. What we need from you: High School diploma or equivalent. Investigative skills. Independent, self-motivated and conscientious. Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills. Computer literate in a variety of applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. How to stand out: At least one (1) year of college preferred. Minimum two (2) years audit/fraud analytics experience preferred.
