Job Description Senior Accountant (Contract - 6 Months)About the OpportunityLHH is partnering with a growing, well-established organization to identify a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract engagement. This role will support a high-performing accounting team with a focus on financial reporting, project analysis, and month-end close activities.This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with large data sets, cross-functional teams, and process improvement initiatives in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze financial and operational data to track performance, identify trends, and support decision-makingAssist with month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processesPrepare reports and dashboards for leadership highlighting key financial and operational metricsPartner with internal stakeholders to monitor project activity and ensure alignment with budgets and timelinesTrack costs, support vendor analysis, and assist with contract and procurement-related processesMaintain and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and process documentationContribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or project-based financial analysisStrong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reportingAdvanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, large data analysis)Experience working with data visualization or reporting tools (Power BI or similar preferred)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting project-based accounting or financial analysisExperience working in regulated or compliance-driven environmentsExposure to forecasting, budgeting, or cost tracking processesWhy This RoleImmediate start with strong team supportHigh-visibility role partnering with leadershipOpportunity to contribute to process improvements and reporting enhancementsPotential for extension based on business needsPay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hourSearch managed by: Cristi ConnelBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
