The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting project types including commercial, public safety, educational, and healthcare.\nAt EAPC, our team of more than 190 architects, engineers, interior designers, construction managers, and other professionals work together to create stunning structures and designs for optimum performance.\nAs a Mechanical Engineer (PE or EIT), you will:\nWork as an Integrated Member of a Multi-Discipline, In-House Team of Engineers, Architects, and BIM Modelers working with REVIT, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination software/plug-ins\nUse of TRACE 3D for building calculations\nResearch design options and select equipment, layout duct and piping, and create and edit project details.\nReview shop drawings, research code issues, and ask general questions of code officials.\nKeep the Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or services through ongoing communication to understand any project changes, design issues, or time/budget constraints that may impact the initial assignment.\nPlan, schedule, conduct and coordinate mechanical engineering work on projects.\nPerform construction management, as necessary, for projects during the construction phase\nMust be able to accommodate and meet customer demands within deadlines\nVerify and interpret applicable codes and regulations\nAssist the Mechanical Department as well as Individual Project Managers with the development and management of project budgets, scopes, fees, and production coordination with progression toward independently performing these duties\nTo join us, you should have:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering\nPassed FE exam, or is on track to take within 6 months of hire;\nWill consider all levels of experience, 2+ years of experience preferred\nExperience or education in REVIT and AutoCAD\nPreference is given to experience with energy modeling software, preferably TRACE 3D\nWillingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines\nMust possess a valid driver’s license\nMust be eligible to work in the U.S.\nThe position will report directly to the Sioux Falls Office Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-discipline, in-house team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians.
