They coordinate project design and analyze complex construction problems.\nResponsibilities:\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop comprehensive mechanical designs with a functional understanding of the other engineering disciplines' responsibilities\nProvide technical support to project teams as required from initial design to production\nPerform advanced analyses (thermal, structural, and tolerance) without guidance\nDevelop mechanical designs for new products, fabrication fixturing, and test fixturing\nCreate and review engineering documentation packages\nMentor MEIII employees by providing training on job junctions, reviewing work, and providing overall project guidance\nProvide inputs to engineering design reviews including calculations, analyses, drawings, etc. to show compliance to specifications and project objectives and standards\nInteract with customers and vendors as necessary based on project scope; makes presentations to communicate engineering findings\nQualifications:\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\nMinimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline\nOR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree\nOR (6) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree. OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a PhD.\nApplicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered\nExperience in the design of electronic or electromechanical products\nCAD Software (Solidworks preferred)\nFEA Analysis (Solidworks and Ansys preferred)\nAbility to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance\n\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION\nThis position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.\nPay Range: $121,915.80 - $152,394.74 annually.
