As a global company, we have offices in nine countries and can insert advertisements around the world.Duties:Provide technical leadership to a team responsible for developing data products using Golang and PythonWriting SQL queries for data exploration in ClickhouseQuerying data using SnowflakeDeploying data products to AWS cloud platform including EKS, EMR, RDS, and S3Scheduling and monitoring workflows using AirflowDeveloping dashboards using LookerPerforming version control using GitHubBuilding CI/CD pipelines using JenkinsPerforming application monitoring and alerting using GrafanaApply specialized knowledge of our Data platformsProvide leadership throughout the design process and assists in guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniquesPlan and design new software and web applicationsAnalyze, test and assist with the integration of new applicationsOversee the documentation of all development activityTrain non-technical personnelAssist with tracking performance metricsProvide guidance and support to other engineersIntegrate knowledge of business and functional prioritiesAct as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environmentCollaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirementsConducts analysis to determine integration needsDesign new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applicationsDevelop software update processes for existing applicationsAssist in the roll-out of software releasesOversee the researching, writing and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reportsKeep current with technological developments within the industryMonitor and evaluate competitive applications and productsReview literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projectsAssist in tracking and evaluating performance metricsEnsure team delivers software on time, to specification and within budgetWork with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirementsTest and evaluate systems, subsystems and componentsAct as a technical contact and liaison for outside vendors and/or customersPresent and defend architectural, design and technical choices to internal and external audiencesTrain junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed software applicationsPosition is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policyRequirements:Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fieldSeven (7) years of experience developing data products using Golang and PythonOf which five (5) years include writing SQL queries for data exploration in Clickhouse; querying data using Snowflake; deploying data products to AWS cloud platform including EKS, EMR, RDS, and S3; scheduling and monitoring workflows using Airflow; developing dashboards using Looker; performing version control using GitHubOf which two (2) years include building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; and performing application monitoring and alerting using GrafanaSkills:Go Programming LanguageGrafanaPython (Programming Language)We believe that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most, and should help you care for those who matter most.
