This position is onsite 5 days per week with typical hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.What You'll DoManage and prioritize projects or programs of large size, scope, and duration focused on reducing the company's environmental, health, and safety risksLead and coordinate project work with other engineers, procurement and manufacturing.Lead and oversee auditing on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local laws including air, water, soil, and wasteProvide technical guidance and oversight to production facilities, corporate departments, trade groups, or the publicLead, participate in, and provide technical support for environmental, health, and safety evaluations, investigations, audits, and remediationOversee and audit the environmental management of hazardous materialsLead and/or support company initiatives and programs such as recycling, greenhouse gas inventories, and waste and resource minimizationProvide product regulatory expertise to groups developing new products and processes to ensure sustainability and compliance requirements are evaluated and included in design.Troubleshoot, analyze, identify, evaluate, propose, implement, and document engineering and regulatory solutions to environmental issuesCollaborate with production personnel and other departments to gather information and draft reports for improvement of equipment, processes, and productsCreate test parameters and participate in the testing and implementation of engineering solutionsEstablish continuous improvement plans in the areas of efficiency, quality, safety, or service can be improvedMentor other engineersWhat You'll BringBachelor of Science degree or equivalent in chemistry, biological sciences, environmental science or relevant related field and at least three (3) years of related engineering experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Experience interpreting environmental compliance including air, water and waste management, and how it applies to the company's processes and equipment.Experience implementing ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 requirements in a manufacturing environmentExperience with permitting requirementsAbility to successfully prioritize, and manage large, complex projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environmentsExcellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult issuesPrefer procurement experience to include development and implementation of environmental services contractPrefer knowledge of compliance based auditingWork is split between an office environment, production facility, and/or warehouse depending on the project Overview: Dart makes everyday products that give people the freedom to enjoy the food & drinks they love, wherever they are.
