You’ll own and elevate EHS processes and be a strategic partner across functional departments.\nHow You Will Do It\nProcess Ownership & Compliance\nDevelop and implement EHS policies and procedures aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards (14001/ 45001/ 9001)\nConduct risk assessments, hazard analyses (JHA, HAZOP), and ergonomic evaluations.\nEnsure compliance across multiple reporting lines and operational units within a matrixed structure\nManage environmental reporting, waste characterization, and regulatory submissions\nLead and participate in EHS audits and risk assessments\nPartner with JCI Legal on regulatory and compliance topics\nData management with EHS information system\nCulture & Engagement\nChampion a “Commitment to Safety” culture through behavior-based safety programs and peer-led accountability\nFacilitate safety committees and employee engagement forums to build ownership across roles and departments\nInfluence plant and functional leaders to integrate EHS priorities into daily decision-making\nCreating a positive safety culture for your team\nTraining & Communication\nDesign and deliver tailored EHS training programs that resonate with both direct and indirect stakeholders\nCommunicate safety goals, performance metrics, and improvement plans transparently to multiple layers of leadership\nProvide coaching and mentorship to cross-functional teams, helping them champion EHS in their own domains\nPerformance & Analytics\nTrack leading indicators such as near-misses, safety observations, and training compliance\nUse lagging indicators to validate program effectiveness and identify improvement areas\nDrive KPI performance\nWhat We Look For\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field\n5 - 10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial setting\n3-5 years of previous experience managing a team\nProven success in influencing matrixed teams and driving cultural transformation\nStrong knowledge of regulatory standards, ISO 14001/ 45001/ 9001, and behavior-based safety systems\nProficient in EHS digital platforms, data analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite\nExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, tailored to varied audiences\nPreferred\nEHS Certification (CSP, CHMM, CIH, PE)\nExperience with Lean Six Sigma methodology\nIdeal Candidate\nInfluential Partner: Navigated complex reporting lines and earns trust across departments\nCross- Functional Collaborator: Aligns EHS goals with operations, engineering, HR and quality teams\nStrategic Communicator: Tailors messaging to diverse stakeholders for maximum engagement\nAdaptive Problem Solver: Adjusts tactics based on shifting priorities and team dynamics\nHIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,000-110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
