In this role, you will assemble, fit, align, and install components, sub assemblies, and major structures in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. Successful candidates possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, safety, and precision in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet stringent aerospace standards and customer requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssemble and install parts, components, and sub assemblies for aerospace tooling in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards\nInterpret and work from blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and CAD to execute assembly tasks accurately.\nUtilize a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment required for aerospace assembly processes.\nWork with various materials such as composites, metals, and advanced alloys commonly used in aerospace tooling.\nCollaborate closely with engineers, quality control personnel, and other production team members to ensure proper fit, function, and integration of all components.\nInspect completed assemblies for accuracy, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications.\nFollow all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality and efficiency.\nTravel and On-Site Assembly is occasionally required.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School graduate (or hold a state or military approved high school equivalency diploma)\nMust successfully pass company forklift training class for Class III and V forklifts\nMust have a valid driver’s license and good driving record\nPrevious experience in aerospace assembly, manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.\nUnderstanding of aerospace materials, fabrication techniques, and industry regulations.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.\nCommitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks.\nAble to lift 50 pounds\nWhy Work at EDI?\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package\nOpportunities for growth and skill development\nSupportive, collaborative team environment\nMeaningful work in the exciting field of aerospace manufacturing\nAdditional Information\nSelected candidates will be required to complete a weld sample test during the interview process.\nDue to ITAR requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, or otherwise authorized to access USML technical data.\nPhysical Requirements\nThis position requires regular standing, handling tools, reaching, and lifting.
