The Assembler is responsible for assembling components or products according to detailed specifications, using hand tools, power tools, or machinery. This role requires precision, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow complex instructions or blueprints to ensure quality and efficiency in the production process.\n\n*Responsibilities*\n\n* Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time\n* Follow instructions on lot travelers, operation instructions, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, sample assemblies, and follow verbal instructions to determine specific duties relative to assembly.\n* Assemble chassis, racks, and other final assembly hardware, and install finished assemblies or subassemblies in them.\n* Operate equipment and tools relative to accomplishing assembly, stuffing and prep of prefabricated electronic assemblies and other electro-mechanical components.\n* Adjust or trim materials or hardware to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.\n* Perform online go/no-go fit testing to ensure specified parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.\n* Test operations include setting up and performing operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands. This activity uses hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment, fixtures and tools to obtain desired performance results.\n* Diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to provide recommended rework instruction and configuration changes.\n* Perform assembly tasks such as soldering, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, labeling, taping, marking, painting, crimping, riveting, soldering, pressing and fastening screws or bolts.\n* Assemble basic material and hardware to wire boards or chassis.\n* In managements absence works directly with Production Control or other Supervisors to address urgent needs, minor schedule changes and other unplanned events.\n* Other duties may be assigned\n\n*Minimum Experience*\n\n* High School Diploma, GED or Equivalency required; plus four years experience in electronic assembly environment.\n* Lean Manufacturing (5S) experience preferred.\n* Candidate must have basic computer skills and previous experience using an electronic shop floor control and/or document system.\n* Must be very organized with a high attention to detail.\n\n*Physical Requirements*\n\nMust be able to support standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Must also be able to support overtime on weekdays or weekends as required to support business needs.\n\nMust be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
