Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will operate the cash register, assist with product demonstrations, and help maintain a welcoming environment in our grocery store. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience. Operate the cash register efficiently, processing transactions accurately and handling cash and credit payments. Conduct product demonstrations to inform customers about new items and promotions. Maintain knowledge of store products and services to effectively answer customer inquiries. Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to ensure a well-presented store layout. Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions and provide accurate change to customers. Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering customer calls or inquiries. Qualifications Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail or grocery store environment. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others and promoting products effectively.
