The role requires customer‑service orientation and a commitment to safety.\n Compensation & Benefits\n \n Competitive compensation package: minimum $85,000 – maximum $95,000\n Vacation: minimum 2 weeks\n Holidays: 11 days\n 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disability\n \n Key Responsibilities\n \n Interpret and implement HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations for all employees.\n Maintain staffing levels: develop staffing plans, oversee hiring campaigns, post positions in Jobvite, screen candidates, conduct orientations, support retention.\n Manage Collective Bargaining Agreement interruptions and aid in union contract negotiations.\n Maintain personnel files, audit I‑9 documents, and oversee FMLA and other leaves.\n Prepare contract correspondence, manager reports, and schedules.\n Administer data, recruitment, personnel records, and payroll backup.\n Coordinate employee benefits at the contract level.\n Answer phone calls and redirect as needed.\n Schedule appointments and meetings for management; prepare agendas, faxes, emails, and mail.\n Track disciplinary actions, leaves, etc.\n Provide training and maintain current employee handbooks, recognition programs, and other HR files.\n Develop proactive employee relations strategies for union and non‑union personnel; improve dispute resolution communications.\n Advise branch managers on employee relations matters, data, dispute resolution, handbook interpretation, disciplinary matters, labor code, human rights, and statutory obligations.\n Stay informed on HR trends, practices, and legislation affecting employment programs.\n Perform other duties as assigned.\n \n Qualifications\n \n Five (5) or more years of direct experience managing HR and labor relations in a public transit service.\n Experience administering a collective agreement.\n Experience with recruitment, terminations, benefits, and compensation.\n Experience administering employee files and labor relations outreach.\n Other relevant HR qualifications.\n Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits use of Schedule I drugs.\n \n Physical Requirements\n \n Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).\n Walk for long distances on uneven or slippery surfaces.\n Push and pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs.\n Bend, kneel, or crouch to retrieve files or equipment at ground level.\n \n Drug‑Free Workplace\n \n Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.\n Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.\n \n EEO Statement\n Transdev is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
