Architectural Sales Representative Location: Seattle, WAPosition: Remote, visiting clients in Seattle area and Portland (1-2 times/month)Please, apply only if you have experience in tiles, surfaces, flooring, or related building materials, and if you have established connections with A&D firms, interior designers, architects, contractors, or construction firms.ABOUT THE JOBOur client, a well-established Italian manufacturer in the design and building materials space, is looking for an Architectural Sales Representative for the Seattle area. They specialize in high-quality, design-driven surface products widely used in architectural, commercial, and residential projects.The person will be responsible for the promoting, specifying and selling of the products to Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, and Dealers.Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to assisting architects, contractors, designers, and homeowners with tile selection, generating sales, and be that continued go to resource for their customer needs for mutual success.The position is also responsible for all sales merchandising, technical information, customer product knowledge, and evaluating the area’s market needs and business conditions in their territory.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Target, call on, and develop relationships with architects, designers, builders, contractors, dealers, and other channelsDevelop and maintain a trade client base via in-house meeting(s) as well as telephone and internet communicationsProactively identify new opportunities and sales channelsIdentify and establish relationships with top architectural and design firms.Maintain architectural libraries clean and well-organized, replacing outdated sample tools and placing new products as they are available.Develop and execute presentations/CEUs.Meet & exceed an established sales budgeted monthly to meet annual goalsSet up product displays and modify as appropriateIntroduce and successfully initiate company programs and new product introductionsAssess competitors, their product lines and strategies.Compile a library of their product catalogs, spec sheets, etc., and keep the Branch Manager. informed of their activityProspecting, qualifying and establishing new customersEvaluate product field complaints and resolve them in accordance with company guidelinesParticipate in industry associations and activities, i.e. ASID, IIDA, and NEWH.Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsAt least 3 years of direct sales experienceBachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferredAbility to achieve company goals with little supervisionOverall analysis of the total and individual markets to set goals, plan and execute market research, forecasting sales and establishing new markets.Development, planning and the execution of yearly business plan.Frequent travel within territory and valid driver’s license requiredBENEFITSMedical, Dental, and Vision Plans 70-85 % covered by the company based on the planFlexible Spending AccountsEmployee Wellness ProgramEmployer Paid Short- and Long-Term DisabilityEmployer Paid Life InsuranceSupplemental Life and AD&D401(k): 1.5%Tuition ReimbursementPaid Time Off all inclusive
