Job Description Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist operates imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. They prepare patients for procedures, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain equipment to support high-quality imaging services. Responsibilities: Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them correctly and adjusting immobilization devices. Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment to ensure optimal image quality and safety. Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff, including shielding and beam restriction. Document patient care and imaging results accurately in medical records. Perform preventive maintenance and manage equipment inventories to ensure operational readiness. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Qualifications: Hold a valid New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist credential. ARRT certification in radiologic technology. Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology. Demonstrate competency in diagnostic procedures and possess strong communication skills. Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in excellent condition. Dependable team player committed to patient safety and quality service.
