Your expertise will make you an important part of our team!\r\nThe Paper Mill Projects Engineer will manage large technical projects to further the growth of Sofidel's manufacturing facilities. The project will require understanding a wide range of technologies, such as paper making machinery, electric power distribution, equipment control and automation system, steam generation and distribution, water treatment plant. As part of their role, PM Projects Engineer may be involved with projects at any of Sofidel's existing facilities throughout the US (Ohio, Wisconsin, Nevada, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Florida) and would play a key role in any future expansion plans undertaken by the company.\r\nJob Responsibilities\r\n\r\nManage the design and implementation of large capital investment projects for newly automated tissue manufacturing lines.\r\nCreate initial Request for Quotes (RFQs), analyse comparisons of alternative technical solutions, and handle equipment negotiations in coordination with the purchasing and accounting departments.\r\nAnalyze existing weaknesses, potential technical innovations and investment proposals, also through the presence in the production plants, and suggest the best solutions.\r\nOwn the project budget throughout the project lifecycle.\r\nCoordinate the construction works on buildings and infrastructures required by the project.\r\nUse Auto Cad to create or modify the project layout design for specific equipment, as well as large machinery layout within the manufacturing area.\r\nEvaluate, select, and manage secondary vendors involved in the implementation of the project, such as Mechanical/Electrical Installers, crane rigging teams, Service Technicians, etc.\r\nSupervise the installation site in order to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations, company policies, and delivery/quality of project objectives.\r\nHandle relationships with vendors, maintain communications with project stakeholders, and support functions for the manufacturing operations team.\r\nSupervise equipment audits, start-up and follow up after project delivery.\r\nInteract directly with both executive-level management and day-to-day operators.\r\nProvide technical support to the productive units also in the post start-up phase.\r\nSupport the manufacturing plants in managing the day-to-day relationships with equipment suppliers.\r\nAssist with ongoing efforts at process improvement within the manufacturing facilities.\r\n\r\nJob Requirements\r\n\r\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering with a focus on Manufacturing, Paper, Industrial, Electrical or Chemical is preferred.\r\n1+ year of Project Manager or Manufacturing experience.\r\nMust be familiar with the principles of project management, as well as manufacturing.\r\nExperience with Auto Cad LT or another computer-aided design program is preferred.\r\nKnowledge in Microsoft Office is Preferred.\r\nMust be able to travel frequently for extended periods of time.\r\n\r\nCompany Benefits\r\n\r\nCompetitive Compensation\r\nProfessional and safe work environment\r\nEmployee referral bonus\r\nRetention Bonus\r\n401(k) Match\r\nDental insurance\r\nHealth insurance\r\nVision insurance\r\nProfessional training and development\r\nPaid vacation\r\n\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer\r\nSofidel America is an equal opportunity employer.
