As part of the Human Resources team this position works with Operations, Safety, first-aid and HR leadership contributing to the organization's overall people strategy, initiatives, and tactics. Responsible for providing HR support and daily HR functions of the facility.\r\nCore Responsibilities: Professional demeanor and ethical conduct, including handling confidential information appropriately\r\nProficient working in web-based HRIS, Payroll and other HR-related software, including report writing\r\nAid in execution of the processes that attract, develop, recognize, and retain employees to support the site's short- and long-term strategic business needs\r\nEnsure the cultureworking environment is open, empowering, fair, and equitable\r\nSupporting safety culture by driving people related safety goals and business initiatives\r\nProvide coaching and counsel to management and employees on HR programs and policies\r\nCoordinate with various members of management to conduct investigations and propose resolution to employee complaints and/or concerns\r\nFacilitate and execute training for various HR initiatives and measure overall effectiveness.\r\nSupport recruitment, onboarding and HR events and activities.\r\nIdentify problems or issues and communicate related trends to HR leadership.\r\nResponsible for fostering a cohesive workplace with the highest ethical standards by treating all team members with dignity and respect.\r\nMaintain team member compliance of company policies, safety and quality standards, and good housekeeping through the application of fair and consistent accountability methods.\r\nAddresses issues and concerns requiring the interpretation and application of policies and procedures to resolve issues related to employee relations matters.\r\nLeads matters regarding employment separations, demotions, and department transfers.\r\nAssists stakeholders and employees with dispute resolution matters.\r\nAll employees are expected to adhere to their scheduled working hours and attend work consistently to ensure smooth operation and effective teamwork.\r\nEducation and Experience Requirements: Post-secondary degree required. Human Resources or related fields preferred.\r\n2 + years of HR experience preferred, operations leadership experience will be given full consideration.\r\nBilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a mandatory requirement for this role.\r\nPrior experience in a large (100+ team member) operation is highly desired, as is multi-plant experience\r\nKnowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations\r\nAbility to work with team members of all levels\r\nBilingual in Spanish is highly preferred\r\nExceptional written and oral communications skills\r\nAbility to develop and present compelling business-based presentations\r\nMust be self-directed and able to handle large, concurrent projects with minimal supervision\r\nAbility to understand and translate business strategy into relevant, value-added HR actions and/or initiatives\r\nWork Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in cold, hot, and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.\r\nPhysical Demand: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\r\nWork is primarily performed in an officemanufacturing environment requiring the ability to sit, talk, hear, frequent walking, standing, and sitting; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
