The role involves supporting the operation of printing presses through set up, color quality control, color adjustments, ensuring printed quality meets customer specifications, performing basic maintenance and repairs on presses, and assisting with training and direction of employees assigned to a specific press. The Second Press Operator also provides performance feedback to Lead Press Operators and supervisors and prepares departmental reports. Problem Solving and Major Capabilities Capable of independent thinking and strong analytical skills to observe, recognize, and resolve practical problems across printing processes, presses, and employee reports. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Finger dexterity for accessing, retrieving information, troubleshooting problems, and using hand‐held tools. Hand coordination, bending, walking, climbing, and standing for long periods; lifting up to 50 pounds; stooping, pulling, pushing, and overhead reaching.
