O-I is a company that is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and offers opportunity for growth and advancement.\r\nJob Description\r\nThe Environmental, Health and Safety Manager acts as a strategic partner and change agent, working with the NA Environmental and Health & Safety Departments to ensure consistent execution of regional EH&S policies and strategies. This role advises site leadership on EH&S objectives, challenges the status quo to drive improvement, and confidently pushes back when needed to maintain compliance and best practices. The position integrates EH&S into site culture and leads all phases of the plant's environmental, health, and safety programs.\r\nThe Environmental, Health & Safety Manager Will\r\nPlan, promote, and follow-up on all phases of the plant safety program and drive the safety culture.\r\nCreate and develop new methods and strategies to help engage employees in safety culture.\r\nMaintain accurate and complete records that meet regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:\r\nResource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)\r\nDepartment of Transportation (DOT)\r\nClean Air Act (CAA)\r\nClean Water Act (CWA)\r\nEmergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA)\r\nSuperfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA)\r\nAll applicable local and state regulatory requirements\r\nAnticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices through work site knowledge, employee interactions, and work site inspection, and control exposures to occupational health hazards.\r\nConduct mandated employee health and safety training programs.\r\nParticipate in state and federal OSHA inspections.\r\nAct as the site contact for Worker's Compensation issues.\r\nConduct applicable facility environmental training including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC).\r\nThe Environmental, Health & Safety Manager Should Have\r\nHigh energy with the ability to motivate people and drive the safety culture.\r\nExperience leading, planning, and promoting all phases of the plant safety program.\r\nExperience developing and delivering training\r\nExperience with air permitting\r\nBe able to implement, administer and advise others on hazard controls and hazard control programs.\r\nThe skills to coordinate the plant accident and investigation program, including the maintenance of required OSHA reports.\r\nThe ability to assist Regional EH&S staff in the quantification, evaluation and control of employee exposure to potential occupational health hazards\r\nA collaborative approach to leadership and a willingness to actively participate on the floor\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree required\r\n5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing plant performing Environmental, Health and Safety activities\r\nProficient in MS Office\r\nCSP, CIH, or CHMM certification is preferred\r\nAble to certify OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training is preferred\r\nAdditional Information\r\nSalary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $125,000 and includes a possible 12% short-term incentive bonus.
