About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Interdisciplinary Element Lead (NH-1550-03, NH-1515-03, NH-0801-03, NH-0854-03, NH-0855-03, NH-2210-03) to work at the 96th Test Wing, 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron’s C5ISR and Space Test Flight (48 CTS/TGEB) at Eglin Air Force Base. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an element supervisor within a flight planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over supervisory and nonsupervisory employees assigned to the 48 Cyberspace Test Squadron. Responsible for performing professional scientific and management work in support of projects/programs pertaining to supporting the development of Department of Defense (DOD) and commercial Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Test and Evaluation (T&E) plans, processes, and policies to include RMF Assess and Authorize (AA) strategies, and developmental testing. The element lead's focus encompasses all cybersecurity test and acquisition activities within their element and those extending across the flight, squadron, group, detachments, and operating locations. Location: Valparaiso, FL (Eglin Air Force Base) Typical 2024 salary range: $86,962 - $134,435 per year (includes locality) Telework Information: Up to 40% telework possible (must reside in local area) Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible Direct Hire Authority: NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Desired Skills: At least 5 years of developmental cybersecurity test and evaluation experience in acquisition programs highly desired. At least 5 years of experience performing Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) assessments, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans, and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) security control assessments highly desired. Experience in team leadership and work assignments desired. Major Duties: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of personnel within the element Serves as the cybersecurity and/or cyber resiliency T&E lead in one or more of the following mission areas: C5ISR and/or Space Represents the organization with a variety of installation, functional area organizations, and other DOD agencies across the AF. Qualifications/Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Obtain & maintain Top Secret Security clearance This is a designated Drug Testing Position This is an interdisciplinary announcement, and the successful candidate’s education and/or experience will be used to determine the series. The position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The supervisor must meet or be cable of meeting Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. The supervisor is expected to meet Continuing Acquisition Education requirements. APDP Level II in Test and Evaluation is required. This position requires the attainment of a cybersecurity certification (i.e., Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) certification or equivalent). Professional knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices required to support one or more of the following mission areas: C5ISR and/or Space Test and Evaluation. A diverse background of experience and knowledge in one or more of the following mission areas: systems acquisition process, network/system development and integration, cybersecurity and/or cyber resiliency T&E, and the system engineering processes. Knowledge to test and evaluate complex programs to ensure system cybersecurity requirements, interfaces, test capabilities, and program factors are considered in planning, monitoring, and reviewing the system artifacts, the system engineering documents, and RMF system security plans as part of the acquisition process. Experience in and the successful test execution of one or more of the following mission areas: Cybersecurity and/or Cyber Resiliency T&E of C5ISR Systems and/or Space Systems in an operational environment.
