Principal Scientist/Associate Director, Proteomics (On-Site)
Neomorph is seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Scientist / Associate Director to lead and expand our proteomics and mass spectrometry capabilities to support our molecular glue targeted protein degradation platform and pipeline.This individual will play a central role in scaling high-quality quantitative proteomics workflows to support discovery and translational research efforts as the company grows. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in modern LC-MS proteomics with a strong understanding of assay development, quantitative rigor, and platform growth.This role offers the opportunity to help shape Neomorph’s next-generation proteomics infrastructure, including new instrumentation, automated workflows, and future team growth, while partnering closely with teams across biology, translational sciences, chemistry, and computational biology.Key Responsibilities:Lead the continued expansion and evolution of Neomorph’s mass spectrometry-based proteomics capabilities in support of our targeted protein degradation platform and discovery pipelineDevelop and scale advanced quantitative proteomics workflows with a focus on throughput, reproducibility, automation, and operational excellenceDrive implementation of new technologies, instrumentation, and proteomics approaches to expand platform capabilities and capacityPartner cross-functionally with biology, translational sciences, chemistry, and computational teams to support discovery and translational research effortsContribute to scientific strategy, experimental design, data interpretation, and long-term platform developmentMentor junior scientists and contribute to the continued growth of Neomorph’s proteomics functionRequired qualifications:PhD in Proteomics, Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology, or a related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience (Principal Scientist), or 10+ years of relevant experience (Assoc Dir)Deep expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics, including extensive hands-on experience with quantitative LC-MS/MS workflows and high-resolution mass spectrometry instrumentationDemonstrated experience independently developing and implementing robust, reproducible, and scalable proteomics assays and workflows in biotech, pharmaceutical, or translational research environmentsStrong understanding of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of complex proteomics datasetsExcellent communication, organizational, and scientific problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience developing and applying DIA-based proteomics workflowsExperience with specialized proteomics approaches such as post-translational modification (PTM) profiling, interaction proteomics, or other specialized mass spectrometry workflowsFamiliarity with laboratory automation, high-throughput workflows, and strategies to increase proteomics platform capacity and scalabilityExperience with targeted mass spectrometry assay development for translational or clinical applicationsExperience supporting targeted protein degradation or broader drug discovery programsPrior experience contributing to proteomics platform expansion, instrumentation growth, or team developmentWhat we offer:Industry-competitive compensationAnnual target bonusStock options401K planCareer advancement opportunitiesMonthly town halls to share business and scientific updatesWork Hard, Stay WellComprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for employees and their dependentsHealth and Dependent Care FSA and HSA Plan with monthly Neomorph contributionEmployee Assistance Program10 holidays + Winter Shutdown + 3 weeks of vacation time with additional accruals after 2nd year of employment, separate sick leave.Supplemental pay for Pregnancy Disability LeavePaid Parental Leave for employees with a newborn child or a child placed with them for adoption or foster careLifestyleCasual work environmentVolunteer days off each year to spend time contributing to causes you care aboutFlexible work scheduleAccess to onsite gymOnsite space to store your bicycle (or surfboard)Have Fun!We believe in work/life balance and Fun is at the core of our Core Values.
