Working closely with the Senior Network Engineer, this role monitors network performance, installs and upgrades network hardware and software, troubleshoots connectivity issues, and ensures network availability, security, and compliance with cybersecurity requirements.\nResponsibilities:\nMonitor and manage the performance, availability, and health of enterprise network resources across multiple enclaves.\nInstall, configure, maintain, and upgrade network hardware, software, routers, switches, and related infrastructure.\nTroubleshoot network outages, performance issues, and connectivity problems, including support during non-core business hours as required.\nSupport network engineering projects and collaborate with tenant agency engineers and stakeholders.\nConfigure and support routing and switching technologies, including inter-VLAN routing, VRF routing, and HSRP.\nPerform preventative maintenance and lifecycle management activities for network devices.\nWork with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and support infrastructure enhancements.\nEnsure compliance with applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), cybersecurity requirements, and vulnerability remediation timelines.\nMaintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.\nResearch emerging networking, data center, and service provider technologies to support continuous improvement initiatives.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in network engineering or network administration.\nActive Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.\nExperience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and data center environments.\nHands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.\nExperience with inter-VLAN routing, VRF routing, and Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP).\nStrong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and troubleshooting methodologies.\nCurrent Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.\nAbility to meet DoD 8140 Cybersecurity Workforce requirements.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting Federal Government, DoD, or Department of Navy environments.\nExperience with enterprise monitoring and network management tools.\nKnowledge of network security principles, STIG compliance, and vulnerability management.\nExperience supporting large-scale, multi-enclave network environments.\nAdditional Cisco certifications (CCNP or higher) preferred.\nSalary Disclosure:\nActual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
