Life at VHB Charlotte | VHB\n\nIf you're looking to grow professionally in an environment that values integrity, client collaboration, community impact, and continuous learning as the keys to success and career fulfillment, come grow with us at VHB.\n\nExplore more about our dynamic Land Development team here: Land Development | VHB.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects.\nComplete Due Diligence Reports and preliminary cost estimates for various sites and project types.\nComplete work within budget and prior to deadlines.\nLead the development of preliminary layouts, design concepts, and detailed design drawings, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards and codes.\nUtilize, instruct, and delegate application usage for generating project-specific drawings, reports, or other technical deliverables\nManage quality control procedures and recommend QC process enhancements\nTrain and mentor junior staff on technical aspects and policies\n\nSkills and Attributes\n\nWillingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills.\nKnowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations\nExperience with client and review agency interactions.\nInnovative design skills to develop solutions to complex projects.\nExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills\nExhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential.\n\nQualifications\n\nBS in Civil Engineering or related degree\n5+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects\nPE licensure expected or the ability to obtain within 6 months\nProficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, Excel.\nProficient with hydrology and hydraulic modelling software such as HydroCad, PondPack, StormCAD and/or Sanitary & Sewer Analysis\nProficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management\nExperience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reports\n\nThe full-time annual base salary range for this position, located in Charlotte, NC, is $95,000 to $115,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. The posted salary range reflects base pay only. Additional compensation and benefits available to eligible employees are outlined in our Total Rewards Program.\n\nAnnual base salary is one component of VHB’s Total Rewards package. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
