Summary The Department of NeuroOncology at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Oncologist or Neuro Oncologist to join our practice. The prospective candidate will be appointed at the Assistant Member level, or higher if warranted. This position will report to the Department Chair and involves all aspects of patient care, including the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients. The position works with several specialists in a multi-disciplinary approach to optimize patient care delivery. The Department of NeuroOncology is large and multidisciplinary, including Neurosurgery, Neurology and Medical NeuroOncology. We currently have a total faculty count of 12 physicians and 15 advanced practice professionals. The Department supports programs in primary brain tumors, leptomeningeal disease & brain metastases, rare tumors such as NF1 & 2, spinal oncology, skull base tumors, and neurologic complications of cancer. We have a very active clinical trials program and basic/translational laboratory research efforts that are based on federally funded collaborations with multiple basic scientists in the Moffitt Research Institute. We currently have over $37 million in peer reviewed funding and a growing number of philanthropic funds that help to support new, higher risk projects. Moffitt Cancer Center is a dynamic and growing organization and institutional priorities focused on immunocellular therapies and addressing unmet needs in oncology. Applicants must have a Florida medical license or be eligible for one, an M.D. degree, and be board certified or eligible. The applicant should be familiar with a multidisciplinary academic clinical practice setting. The successful candidate must have clinical expertise in NeuroOncology. Applicants should be committed to the mission of prevention and cure of cancer, including clinical practice, educational endeavors, research endeavors, and professional service. Faculty of the Moffitt Cancer Center are eligible for academic appointments at the University of South Florida College of Medicine Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications & experience.
