At Sevan you will be part of a team that is dynamic and fast paced. Strong communication skills and a desire to be involved in all aspects of a project life cycle are a must. Problem solving skills, thinking outside the box and dealing with ambiguity are skills that we value.\n\nYou will work alongside experienced individuals as well as the opportunity to operate independently. Our interns receive hands-on, real-world experience and take pride in learning day to day activities that help launch our business forward. We are looking for people who enjoy a challenge and working together on a team each day.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nOperate LIDAR scanning equipment to document visual and dimensional data at project sites.\nUtilize survey tools (laser, tape, scanner, etc.) to accurately gather, verify, and document dimensions.\nAccurately register laser scan point clouds using various software.\nAssist in collecting existing conditions data from building sites and provide photographic documentation\nAssist in creating as-built drawings including building floor plan, elevations, RCP, roof plan, site plan in AutoCAD (experience required), REVIT (experience preferred)\nIdentify and document key specifications for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment as necessary.\nAssist in creating existing condition drawings with AutoCAD or Revit based on the scope requirements.\nRevise project deliverables based on redline correction sets and feedback.\nAssist in preparation and delivery of survey reports in accordance with company & client requirements.\nFollow prescribed methods for documenting existing conditions on each assigned project.\nFollow safety protocols to protect their health and safety, that of others around them, the client’s property, and the equipment used on each project.\nFollow company guidelines for administrative tasks such as timesheets and expense reporting.\nAbility to travel by plane.\nAbility to lift extension ladders to access roofs.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\n\nIn progress: 4-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent\nStrong ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the project team including management, project management, clients, client’s organization, contractors, and vendors\nMust be flexible, adaptable and able to work with fluid schedules and working conditions\nMust maintain a professional appearance and interact with on-site customers in a courteous and professional manner\nAbility to prioritize and handle diverse workload\nWilling to dive in, proactively ask for new things you can help with, desire to learn and ambition to excel\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to tolerate ambiguity and be able to work effectively within a diverse workplace\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing work environment\nProficient working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite\n\nWork Conditions & Pay:\n\nThis position is remote and field based and requires 40-70% travel around the US. Multi-shift work may often be required to accomplish work in active retail locations to meet aggressive schedules. Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work with fluid schedules and working conditions. Able to work on your feet indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Able to extend, lift and climb a ladder for roof access.
