This role is part of team working on nuclear project. Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities\nWork on planning, design, procurement, and quality of installation of mechanical systems and equipment.\nComplete project specific objectives on time, under direction of Sr. Mechanical Engineer; receive instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.\nAssist mechanical designers and drafters in developing the structural design of equipment and piping systems using computer-assisted design (CAD) and 3D design software.\nResearch, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements applying knowledge of engineering principles.\nConduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.\nDevelop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.\nSpecify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.\nIndependently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.\nPresent technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions.\nProvide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel; both within the company and for the customer.\n\nMechanical Engineer Requirements\nBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.\nPower Plant, Process, and/or Heavy Industrial Design experience.\nPipe Stress Analysis.\nKnowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.\nComplex Problem Solving.\nGood Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal and Written).\nCritical Thinking.\nJudgment and Decision Making.\nAttention to Detail.\nStrong desire to learn.\nMust be a US Citizen due to Nuclear restrictions.\nFE and PE or willingness to obtain both.\nEnergy and Chemical and/or Power Design Engineering Experience.\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
