Hundreds of ministries have been impacted by this open‐source revolution. It’s amazing what God has done, and we believe He’s just getting started.\r\nThis position is a key hire that will allow Spark to take Rock to the next level by owning and evolving our front‐end design system in code. You’ll be part of the development team, responsible for maintaining reusable UI/CSS components, building new ones, and acting as the bridge between our designers and developers. Think of it as building something like Bootstrap, but for churches. We’re looking for a detail‐oriented, self‐driven front‐ender who’s passionate about clean, scalable code and pixel‐perfect UIs.\r\nWhat We Offer:\r\nCompetitive salary based on experience\r\nStable weekday schedule encouraging work-life balance\r\nSupportive and dedicated team\r\nPurpose-driven work serving churches and non-profits\r\nOpportunity to make a meaningful impact through technology\r\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\r\nMaintaining, refactoring, and extending our design‐system codebase to ensure consistency and performance using CSS and JavaScript\r\nDeveloping new UI components—styled, documented, and tested—for use across Rock RMS\r\nCollaborating closely with designers to translate mockups and style guides into production‐ready code\r\nPartnering with backend and full‐stack developers to integrate components into the application\r\nWriting clear documentation and usage examples for every component\r\nParticipating in code reviews, ensuring CSS/HTML/JS best practices and accessibility standards\r\nYou’ll fit right in if you:\r\nAre an expert in CSS (including preprocessors like Less or Sass)\r\nHave hands‐on experience building and maintaining a design system or component library\r\nCommunicate effectively between design and development teams\r\nThrive in a fast-paced development environment\r\nAre proactive about learning new front‐end tools and techniques\r\nYou'll work well if you:\r\nAre proficient with Vue.js or similar frameworks\r\nAre an expert in Bootstrap and Tailwind\r\nUnderstand browser rendering, CSS performance, and responsive design\r\nUse Git for version control and collaborate via pull requests\r\nBonus Points For:\r\nYou’ve got a background in graphic or visual design\r\nYou’ve created custom themes or utility‐first toolkits (e.g., Tailwind plugins)\r\nYou’ve contributed to open‐source front‐end projects\r\nYou’re familiar with church‐management or CRM systems\r\nHave an unusual interest in Rock lobsters.\r\nLocation and Application:This position is located in Phoenix West Valley.
