This hands‑on technical expert will take projects from concept through design, equipment specification, installation, and commissioning—ensuring every solution meets Sharpe’s standards for quality, safety, and operational excellence.\n\nIn this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients, internal engineering teams, contractors, and vendors. You will play a key role in shaping process solutions, delivering exceptional project results, and advancing Sharpe’s reputation as a trusted partner in food & beverage processing.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign and layout fluid process systems, including batching, processing, packaging, CIP/COP, pasteurization, filtration, and heat exchange technologies.\n\nDevelop PFDs, P&IDs, utility and equipment matrices, mass balances, SOPs, and SSOPs.\n\nSize and specify process equipment, pumps, valves, instrumentation, and utility systems such as steam, glycol, condensate, cooling water, and city water.\n\nPrepare performance specifications and RFQs, and coordinate with vendors throughout the equipment selection process.\n\nIdentify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives across client operations.\n\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment across engineering, project management, installation, and start‑up activities.\n\nProvide field supervision or support during equipment installation, commissioning, and site visits.\n\nMaintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and exceptional service.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or related).\n\n8–10+ years of relevant process engineering experience; supervisory experience preferred.\n\nStrong understanding of 3A, USDA, and FDA sanitary design requirements.\n\nProficiency with AutoCAD (including isometric drawings), Microsoft Office, and process engineering tools.\n\nExperience executing process design from concept through installation and commissioning.\n\nAbility to travel to client sites (30–50%) for meetings, design reviews, installation support, and start‑ups.\n\nA detail‑oriented, collaborative engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.\n\nSharpe Engineering offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well‑being, and work‑life balance.
