Candidates must be located in Charlotte, NC or in the process of relocating.\n\nThe AWS DevOps Engineer is a key role which focuses on building and maintaining the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release, deployment, and upgrade processes for workloads. This individual will work on developing the automated pipelines for cloud environments as well as providing consulting services to application and infrastructure teams specific to automated build, test and release automation.\n\nExperience in systems engineering and cloud automation will be critical for this opportunity.\n\n*Daily outlook for the AWS DevOps Engineer:*\n\n• Designing, provisioning, monitoring and maintaining the public cloud automation framework\n\n• Build a strong relationship with the development teams to understand the code, its dependencies, and the infrastructure on which it runs.\n\n• Assist development team with deployment strategy and capacity planning across development, QA, staging and production environments.\n\n• Leads the effort in the ongoing improvement of CI/CD environment provisioning and development workflows.\n\n• Ensure the pipelines have appropriate levels of monitoring and alerting set up for all applications and infrastructure across a diverse environment.\n\n*Qualifications for the AWS DevOps Engineer:*\n\n• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years of relevant professional experience\n\n• 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist.\n\n• 2+ years of hands-on experience of programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object-oriented language.\n\n• Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.\n\n• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.\n\n• Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab.\n\n• Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
