In 2021, Igloo was acquired by Dometic Brands, creating the opportunity to globally grow both brands together.\nBuilt on a legacy of quality and innovation, we are seeking Injection Mold Operator to join our team and support our continued growth.\nThis role is responsible for the operation of assembly equipment to manufacture plastic parts for cooler-related products meeting quality and production standards.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:\nOperate Injection Molding Machines\nResponsible for visual inspection of production for defects based on Standard. Monitor product for any quality issues.\nAccurately Track production and rejects on production form.\nVerify that equipment is operating properly. Notify Team Lead or Supervisor.\nAdhere to all Safety Practices.\nParticipate and support lean activities.\nEnsure work area meets 5S guidelines.\nPerform product stacking per engineering standards.\nGet the proper material to the required machines in a safe, productive and efficient manner.\nMaintain acceptable level of housekeeping by 5S standards in the assigned work area. Work areas must be kept free and clear of trash (paper, plastic, cups, bottles, and gloves) or any items which are not necessary to perform work assignment.\nCutting trim flash from parts.\nKeep fixture/mold/tooling rack areas clean and organized.\nAchieve established daily performance target.\nRelieve other Machine Operators in the occurrence of machine down time or job re-assignment in pursuit of maintaining departmental efficiency and quality of production\nPerform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on Injection Molding Machine and auxiliary equipment.\nPerform any and all other duties as assigned.\nCompletion of New Hire Training Program.\nAble to trim, inspect, parts from multiple machines while working in high heat conditions.\nMaintains constant situational awareness of 360-degree surroundings to ensure personal and team safety in high-traffic areas.\nPerceives and responds to all safety signals, including backup alarms, horns, and visual alerts from moving equipment (forklifts, conveyors).\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat do we offer?\nMedical\nDental\nVision\nLife Insurance\nShort term & Long-term disability\nAccidental death insurance\nSupplemental life insurance\nCompany paid holidays\nFlexible Spending Accounts\n\nMinimum Requirements and Qualifications\nA suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:\nNo previous experience required\nLanguage Skills: Able to read, write, and communicate in English or Spanish.\nMath skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.\nPhysical Demands:\nAble to lift a maximum of 25 lbs. multiple times a day during a 12-hr. Shift\nBend and stand in difficult positions up to 12 hours\nAble to manipulate tools with both hands and stand for long hours.\nMinimum height requirement of 60 inches.\nAction oriented – results driven.\nSensory Perception: Must be able to effectively exchange information with supervisors and team members regarding production goals and immediate safety hazards.\nSituational Awareness: Must be able to safely navigate a warehouse environment characterized by moving mechanical parts and high-volume industrial vehicle traffic.\nWork environment: Manufacturing environment is hot and humid in summer months, cold during winter months.\nHigh noise level requires use of hearing protection\nTo be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:\nOne (1) year Injection Molding experience.\nAbility to communicate in Spanish.\nFamiliar with industrial products\nResponsibility Metrics:\nDaily Efficiency\nDaily Scrap %\nDaily Attainment\nPhysical Demands & Conditions\n(Applicable to Igloo Operators, Technicians, Leaders, and Other Roles in Manufacturing)\nStanding & Walking\nRoles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing.\nPostural Requirements\nFrequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks.\nLifting & Material Handling\nOperator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift.\nTechnician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts.\nWhere possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used.\nFine Motor Skills & Tool Use\nUse of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision.\nVisual Requirements\nSufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation.\nEnvironmental Conditions\nWork is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100–120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter.\nHigh noise level: Environment requires the ability to safely work around loud machinery and may require use of hearing protection; employees must be able to recognize emergency alerts within this environment.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task.\nAdditional Job Considerations\nThese roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours.
