Schedule includes all days of the week with an every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday & Sunday) and holiday coverage (minimum 2 holidays during the contract). Typical guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week.Hours per Week: 36Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide expert critical care nursing for adult ICU patients, maintaining 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratiosTitrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, sedation and other titratable medications safely and per protocolInterpret and document telemetry/monitor strips accurately and collaborate with tele techsTroubleshoot basic ventilator/respiratory device issues and escalate to RTs as neededUse EPIC to document care, communicate with the care team, and ensure accurate patient recordsDeliver compassionate care for a broad case mix including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, renal and respiratory casesParticipate in required orientation, competency assessments and an open-book pass/fail exam during onboardingRespond to call-backs within required timeframes and adhere to facility policies (including fingernail/artificial nail standards)EducationActive RN license (ADN or BSN acceptable); BSN preferred but not explicitly requiredKnowledge & SkillsAdult critical care nursing and ICU best practicesTelemetry/strip interpretation and familiarity with GE monitor systemsTitration of cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medicationsVentilator/basic respiratory troubleshooting and working knowledge of RT collaborationFamiliarity with EPIC charting systemManagement of trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, renal failure and heart failure patientsEffective documentation, communication and teamwork in an acute care environmentAbout United Health Care Staffing, Inc."Better Pay" and "Zero Headaches" and Ready to love your scrubs again?At United Health Care Staffing, we don't just fill shifts; we fulfill bucket lists.
