In addition to ITW's industry leading research and development capabilities, ITW Shakeproof enhances our customers' competitive advantage by:Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in North America.Exchanging product, process, and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide.Continually improving processes, material, and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled value.Primary ResponsibilitiesCreate and interpret shipping orders based on customer routing instructions ensuring all current customer requirements are metInterpret and understand shipping orders in order to facilitate shipping arrangements and instructions on the shipping orderContact carrier representatives to make shipping arrangements and issue instructions for loading productsEnsure all ASN's are entered in specified time frames while verifying accuracy of documentationProvide customer service to on-site carriers to ensure all proper documentation is completed accurately and in a timely mannerPerform data entry for all customers using shipping orders to create bill of ladingsOrganize and file shipping and receiving documentation for entire facilityUnderstand quality system in order to identify and properly handle parts with quality warningsEnsure hot jobs are handled with care and urgency while being expedited through the departmentMaintain legible and accurate departmental logs and records and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate peopleUse RF Scanner to ensure product is scanned correctly and assist order pullers with correcting issues with scanned productWork closely with customer service and others in the shipping department to ensure customer needs are met and satisfiedAssist with customer service functions before and after hoursWork with FedEx and UPS supply chainPerform other duties as assignedPosition Skills & Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma required and a certificate in logistics from a college or technical school or six months related experienceAbility to read, understand and follow directions/instructions and safety rulesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to perform in a fast-paced environmentKey punch/data entry experienceProficiency with Microsoft OfficeAbility to lift up to 35 poundsForklift certification preferredDetail orientated$22.40 per hourITW is an equal opportunity employer.
