(DSN) is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer focused on Casting Process Development to join our team in Mapleton, IL. The role is a mix of research & development and hands-on execution of the associated Design of Experiments (DOEs). Key objectives of this work include:\n\n• Elimination of silica exposure risk associated with traditional casting methods\n\n• Single-piece product flow with full traceability\n\n• $1M+ in cost savings per year, per machine\n\nTypical Day or Week in the Role\n\n• Prepare and start up equipment for the day\n\n• Document results from prior day's experiments and findings\n\n• Execute the daily DOE task\n\n• Hand off to counterpart on the trailing shift\n\n• Discuss results from the prior day\n\n• Document adjustments for the daily task\n\n• Communicate any needs or roadblocks\n\n• Participate in weekly update meetings with leadership\n\nWork Environment\n\nThis role is primarily shop floor based (approximately 75%).
