Associate Field Engineer (100% Travel)

Columbus, Ohio - 2026-06-05The Associate Field Engineer will be responsible for installing data storage hardware equipment at various business sites in the Columbus, Ohio area as well as regionally, along with occasional national travel. This is a 100% travel role.THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN ASSOCIATE FIELD ENGINEER: Provide hardware support and installation on multiple storage platforms throughout the United StatesPerform installations on multiple storage platform equipment (unboxing, lifting, racking/stacking, etc.)Frequently lift and move up to 50-75 pounds for installationsInteract with IT customers and TSP technical team members, including presales, services, and support organizationsThe impact extends to customer technical representatives, including systems administrators and technical managersThis will be a 100% travel role (local and regionally) requiring travel for formal and informal training to get certifiedYOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING ABOVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE LIKE: Must have hardware troubleshooting experience and be technically inclined (in work experience, military experience, etc.)1 – 2 years in a similar field technician role would be beneficialExposure to data center environments is strongly preferredEducation: degree in computer science, information technology, or any technical field preferredMinimum of high school diploma or GED is requiredMust be reliable, proactive, and possess the ability to take ownership of multiple engagementsPositive attitude, professional, self-motivated, and a fast learnerStrong sense of urgency, time management, and customer-facing skills are requiredMust have a general understanding of Microsoft Outlook and demonstrate superb communication skills (phone/email/in-person)Good job stability must be reflected on the resumeAdditional Information About This Role Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license (business mileage reimbursed), and auto insuranceMust be able to lift and install equipment (up to 75 pounds) into customer racksCandidates must be authorized to work in the United StatesStarting pay: $25.00 per hourEmployees have the opportunity to earn up to four additional $1.00 per hour increases by meeting established performance milestonesView our benefits information here: https://marketing.mytsp.net/tsp-benefitsCandidates must be authorized to work in the United StatesWE ARE TSPTSP is award-winning, customer-endorsed, and minority-owned.
