Working from engineering documentation and technical standards, this role performs precision assembly tasks including cable and harness fabrication, soldering, and related production activities while ensuring compliance with quality and workmanship requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and committed to producing mission-critical hardware in a collaborative manufacturing environment.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAssemble electro-mechanical product in accordance with engineering instructions, technical manuals, and training.\nFollow written instructions to execute tasking in a standard and repeatable manner.\nIdentifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Uses judgement to resolve certain issues.\nPerform wiring harness and cable assembly, including continuity checks on the final assemblies.\nApply technical standards, such as J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620, to work performed ensuring manufactured hardware complies.\nAbility to use small hand tools, calibrated equipment, soldering/desoldering equipment, and/or meters.\nConsistently complete records of work completed in line with good documentation practices.\nRequires strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nFollows documented processes and procedures for proper handling of all material(s).\nCandidate must have a willingness to perform other tasks as assigned.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma (or equivalent)\nMinimum of 4 years of related experience or 2 yrs post-Secondary /Associates Degree with 0 -2 yrs prior related experience\nBasic ability in the utilization of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with electronics or cable assemblies\nExperience with circuit board level soldering and desoldering\nExperience with masking, conformal coating, connector potting, components taking, or component bonding\nWorking Conditions / Requirements\nESD production environment. Some exposure to machine noise; hearing protection may be required.\nMust have availability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts as scheduled.\nOvertime and weekends may be requested to fulfill needs.\nPrimarily located in Chantilly with flexibility to occasionally work in Fairfax.\nOccasionally lifting up 25 lbs. exertion. Standing or sitting for extended periods of time.\nVisual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.
