Your primary goal will be to collaboratively support and improve the DevOps platform.\r\nResponsibilities\r\n\r\nLeverage Engineering background and skills to transition to a DevOps Platform Engineer\r\nApply experience to understand design concepts and implement features within the DevOps platform.\r\nBuild, test and deploy changes to a common toolchain framework.\r\nUnderstands Semantic versioning and release management.\r\nComplete understanding of Software Development Lifecycle\r\nExperience with breaking down software components into features, hotfixes and bugfixes.\r\nExtensive understanding of Git branching methodologies and the impact within the SDLC\r\nSupport existing DevOps platform by:\r\nTroubleshooting issues end-to-end (pipeline, source, build, package, ext. dependencies, deploy and runtime)\r\nSupport the full product lifecycle ensuring highly scalable and reliable service.\r\nUnit and integration testing of new and proposed changes\r\nIdentifying deficiencies and applying solutions to an entire platform through DevOps principles and framework\r\nUtilizes monitoring and observability to both troubleshoot and provide feedback into SDLC.\r\nUnderstand and promote developer and application Security best practices.\r\nParticipate in on-call to support the DevOps platform.\r\nAuthor support documentation, user guides for internal developers.\r\nWork closely with DevOps Architects and Leads to understand DevOps requirements and align with product and technology vision.\r\nContinuously explore and stay current on new and emerging technologies.\r\n\r\nRequired Knowledge and Experience\r\n\r\nMinimum 10 years of experience as a DevOps or Systems Engineer or a bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience.\r\nKubernetes -\r\nhelm and Kustomize\r\nCRDs, services, operators\r\nFamiliarity with Rancher management server is a plus.\r\nDocker containers -\r\ndockerfile\r\ndocker build, kaniko\r\ndocker registry\r\nSource code management -\r\nBitbucket (git)\r\nGithub\r\nGit branching\r\nCode reviews and pull request approvals.\r\nBuild tools -\r\ngradle and maven\r\nkaniko\r\nfamiliarity with msbuild and dotnet is a plus.\r\nPackages -all types of mvn, node packages\r\nyum/dnf\r\nfamiliarity with nuget and chocolatey is a plus.\r\nScripting Languages -\r\nbash\r\npython\r\nYAML\r\nFamiliarity with PowerShell is a plus.\r\nProgramming Languages -\r\nJava\r\nGo language\r\nGroovy\r\nYAML\r\nAnsible\r\nHCL - Terraform\r\nFamiliarity with C# is a plus.\r\nDatabases/Caches:\r\nMongoDB\r\nPostgreSQL\r\nRedis\r\nFront End Technologies\r\nReact JS\r\nSolid JS\r\nnginx (reverse proxies)\r\nFrameworks\r\nJavaScript frameworks - NodeJS, React, Solid, Angular\r\nJava Spring and Spring Boot\r\nFamiliarity with .NETcore or Django is a plus\r\nProductivity Tools\r\nJira Software (scrum/Kanban Boards) or a similar ticketing system\r\nConfluence or a similar wiki tool\r\nFollow change control methodologies.\r\nExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with employees at all skill levels; including the ability to translate and communicate technical and analytical issues to all types of end users.\r\n\r\nAbout Us\r\nFirst Horizon Corporation is a leading regional financial services company, dedicated to helping our clients, communities and associates unlock their full potential with capital and counsel.
