This role focuses on the design, development, and support of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) used in submarine and undersea systems. Designs must meet stringent reliability, performance, and manufacturability requirements consistent with defense and submarine‐class hardware standards.The engineer will work closely with cross‐functional teams including Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure designs are producible, testable, and compliant with applicable standards and program requirements.Primary PCB design work is performed using Siemens Xpedition, with familiarity in Altium Designer considered a strong plus.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform schematic capture and electrical design for PCBs and CCAsSelect and validate electrical components in accordance with design and lifecycle requirementsDefine electrical constraints and support PCB layout activities, including placement and routingReview and interpret wire harness prints, blueprints, and electrical drawingsEnsure designs meet IPC‐J‐STD and IPC‐A‐610 workmanship standardsSupport design reviews, manufacturing builds, and troubleshooting of circuit cardsCollaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve DFM, DFA, and production issuesSupport configuration control and documentation throughout the design lifecycleRequired QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of electrical engineering experienceExperience working with PCBs and Circuit Card AssembliesAbility to read and interpret wire harness prints and electrical blueprintsWorking knowledge of IPC‐J‐STD and IPC‐A‐610 standardsExperience using Siemens Xpedition for schematic capture and PCB designMust be Elgible for a US DoD security ClearancePreferred QualificationsExperience using Altium DesignerExperience supporting defense, aerospace, or naval programsFamiliarity with manufacturing and sustainment environmentsJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Riviera Beach, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
