Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure food safety and efficiency Assist with menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and efficiently Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating versatility in meal planning and preparation Background in fine dining or restaurant environments that emphasize presentation and quality Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling perishable goods Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving customers and supporting colleagues Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Work Location: In person
