Optometric Technician

Optometric Technicians perform a variety of tasks that support an optometrist. Perform pre-testing procedures such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception tests. Assist with patient history taking and documenting relevant information in medical records. Conduct specialized testing procedures such as visual fields testing, retinal imaging, and corneal topography. Prepare patients for examinations by the optometrist, including dilation of pupils. Assist with contact lens fittings and provide instructions on lens insertion, removal and care. Collaborate with the front desk staff to schedule appointment and manage patient flow.
