HP is leading the industry by providing well-designed, robust, peripheral hardware portfolio. The Peripheral Technical Program manager (TPM) will deliver features and software for our POS and peripheral hardware. The TPM will serve as a bridge between the cross functional (HW Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management, Quality and Service) teams and the peripheral vendors. The TPM is the primary technical point of contact between HP and the peripheral vendors and customers, setting specs, defining test plans, and solving problems. As subject matter expert, the TPM will work with Product Management to tell the story to our customers. The TPM will work directly with customers to answer questions and resolve issues.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nManages and leads a program involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.\nOversees logistics of parts for builds and prototypes and works on multiple projects, simultaneously.\nDevelops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.\nManages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.\nManages program to ensure procedural compliance, maintenance, and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment.\nCommunicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.\nFollows up on open points/actions that were observed during trials; ensures conveyed as actionable items.\nDrives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization.\nDrives best practices through documentation control policies and procedures.\nLeads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.\n\nEducation & Experience Recommended\n\nFour-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.\nTypically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field.\n\nPreferred Certifications\nNA\n\nKnowledge & Skills\n\nComputer Science\nContinuous Improvement Process\nMilestones (Project Management)\nNew Product Development\nProcess Improvement\nProject Engineering\nProject Management\nProject Planning\nProject Schedules\nRisk Management\nScrum (Software Development)\nSoftware Development\nSprint Planning\n\nThe pay range for this role is $116,150 to $182,400 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
