{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"75f6725b68c3fb4e59bf590a","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/75f6725b68c3fb4e59bf590a","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/75f6725b68c3fb4e59bf590a","title":"Division Controller","description":"Division Controller\n\nNewark, DE\n\nFull-time\n\nSobieski Enterprises, Inc. in Newark, DE is seeking to hire a full-time Controller to support Operating Divisions while managing all corporate financial reporting requirements.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nGrow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, trends\nUnderstand the financial state of the business unit, and support upper management in their understanding of the same\nUtilize financial expertise to interpret key drivers of operational performance and support business unit leaders with strategic plan development\nWork with Division Manager and Operations Manager to ensure all costs and billings are accurate for analysis and reporting\nAccumulate job cost data including payroll reports, materials, equipment, and subcontractor billings to prepare monthly cost analysis; Utilize data to recommend areas for cost reduction\nPerform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking\nUtilize financial data analysis to create revenue and forecast models, and to support management with financial decisions\nRecommend benchmarks that will be used to measure business unit financial performance\nPrepare regular reviews of financial metrics and performance; Present results and recommendations to senior leadership and executives\nAnalyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, recommend improvements\nWork closely with Corporate Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting\nGuide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures\nOversee purchasing within the division\nDrive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports and tools\nStay abreast of the financial market specific to the construction industry to understand how to maximize profits\n\nDIVISION CONTROLLER QUALIFICATIONS\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance\nTwo to Five (2-5) years financial accounting or public accounting experience\nTwo to Five (2-5) years work experience in construction to include Cost Accounting, CIP or public accounting experience with construction clients.\nMust have excellent computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook\nProcore, Sage, Tableau and Spitfire experience strongly preferred.\n\nWe offer top-notch benefits including medical plans to choose from (one option offers a $0 weekly cost to the employee), dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay!\n\nAre you a master problem-solver?
