Work includes repair of fire protection, alarm extinguishers, specialty suppression & fire sprinkler systems. Applicant should be able to read and understand blueprints, communicate effectively with all other persons on the job site, including our sub-contractors, and professionally represent TP Mechanical Contractors. Applicant should also be able to accept direction and/or lead and delegate the work if necessary.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\n1. Troubleshoot and solve fire protection system problems.\n2. Follows up with customers for quality assurance purposes and ensures customers are 100% satisfied.\n3. Can work independently with little direction and is capable of solving problems (i.e., contacting factory, engineer, architect, foreman, etc.).\n4. Attends, if needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projects. Is well prepared to handle issues that may come up. Fills out all forms, revisions, and requests for tools/equipment/material that are required for each project.\n5. Dependable and able to work in emergency situations when called.\n6. Has the ability to identify and locate parts/suppliers.\n7. Fills out the corresponding paperwork for invoicing in a timely and accurate manner.\n8. All other duties as assigned.\nQualifications and Experience:\n1. Experience/Qualifications Required:\n\n5 years commercial experience in the fire protection industry.\nInstallations, Inspections, Testing, Maintaining - Alarm, Sprinkler, Kitchen hood & Suppression Systems.\n\nStable work history.\nState Fire Protection Certification/License(s)\nOhio Backflow Certification (is a plus)\n2. Job Skills:\n\nAbility to read blueprints.\nKnowledge of operations of fire protection systems.\nStrong knowledge of building and NFPA Codes\nWorking knowledge of all hand and power tools.\nAble to install, repair and replace equipment.\nWorks within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.\nExceptional communication skills.\nGood organizational skills.\nStrong computer skills including daily e-mails, on-line inspection reports, Excel & PDFs, Etc.\n3. Education:\n\nHigh School or GED Equivalent\nOSHA 10 or 30\nTrade School or Apprenticeship a plus\n4. Physical Requirements:\n\nEyesight correctable to 20/50\nAble to work long hours on feet.\nAble to lift and climb ladders and scaffolds\nAble to perform shift work\nMust be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.\nMust be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.\nAble to work from heights above 20ft.\n5.
