Fullerton Ave. Chicago IL 60614 and Skokie IL60076 Job Type: Full-TimePay rate: $23.00 - $27.00 an Hour Job DescriptionThe Junior Buyer will assist in purchasing materials, supplies and services for the organization. This person will track purchases, monitor vendor quality, and maintain a current database of vendor and product information . Responsibilities include but are not limited toExpedite, postpone and cancel purchase orders as necessary to meet production timingHandles special projects research for the departmentWork cross-functionally between buying and operationsCoordinates and monitors inbound shipments Review and process all RMAs including communication with vendors for credit or replacements.Maintains system accuracyProvide customer service to sales teams and vendor for pricing issues, coordinating ship dates, expediting orders and maintaining of purchase orders.Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.RequirementsMust speak and write English proficientlyProficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office productsAbility to communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese or Taiwanese preferred, but not required.Communicate clearly, concisely, timely, and professionally within our team and with external vendors:Must have strong analytical abilities and work well under pressurePrior experience with Epicor 9 or above preferredMust have experience utilizing MRP to procure2 to 5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in LightingAbout YouMust possess excellent communication skills and be self-motivated.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Extreme attention to detail.
