Supervisors will lead and support front-line employees in executing daily mining activities safely, efficiently, and to plan. Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance. Guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They are the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:\nLead by example, demonstrating commitment to safety, respect, integrity, and excellence.\nCommunicate daily goals, expectations, and changes clearly to the employees.\nEncourage open communication, active involvement, and idea sharing.\nProvide timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to support employee growth.\nPromote accountability and ownership for safe, high-quality work.\nSupport shift handovers and ensure company communications are passed down.\nVisible and engaged in the field.\nOversee the safety of all underground operations, recognize health and safety hazards and act immediately to maintain a safe work environment.\nResponsibility for day-to-day shift planning and co-ordination of production levels, workers, equipment, levels, and supplies.\nConduct daily workplace inspections of all working areas.\nConduct daily “toolbox” safety discussions\nPartner with maintenance and electrical groups to ensure all preventative maintenance tasks are completed on time.\nWork with Technical Services, Maintenance, and other contractors to ensure all mine plans are met.\nProduce shift reports to management.\nEnsure employee compliance of policies and procedures\nOccasionally use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and other mechanical instruments and equipment to assist operations personnel in operating mine equipment and property.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required. Secondary Engineering education preferred.\nAt least 5 years of underground mining experience required.\nAt least 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.\nExperience mining through stressed ground preferred.\nExperience in Cut and Fill and Long hole stoping mining methods preferred.\nSolid understanding of the mining process from planning, maintenance, and operations.\nSolid understanding of all underground mining equipment.\nKEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:\nAction Oriented - Initiates timely action to address important issues.\nCollaborates - Encourages unity rather than us vs. them thinking\nCommunicates Effectively - Clear, concise, and professional in communication.\nDecision Quality - Considers various inputs, criteria, and trade-offs to arrive at effective decisions and recommendations.\nEnsures accountability - Follows through on commitments.\nManages Ambiguity - Accepts needed change despite the uncertainty it brings.\nHSEC ACCOUNTABILITIES\nEveryone in the workplace is responsible for his or her own safety and for the safety of their co-workers.
