IT Coordinator
Position Summary:Landmark Builders is seeking a full-time IT Coordinator to provide comprehensive technical support and ensure smooth daily operations of IT systems across our office and field locations. This hands-on role covers help desk operations, system administration, and technical project support, while serving as a key resource for end users and supporting the IT Director in maintaining operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Help Desk Operations & User SupportServe as a primary point of contact for IT support, providing Level 2 and Level 3 assistance for hardware, software, and network issuesTroubleshoot complex technical problems across Windows and mobile platforms for both office and field personnelSupport remote users with VPN, cloud access, and collaboration tools; escalate critical issues to senior technical staff as neededMaintain accurate ticket documentation and conduct end-user training on new systems and applicationsSystem Administration & MaintenanceMonitor and maintain server infrastructure, network equipment, and security systems; perform routine updates, patches, and security configurationsManage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active DirectoryAdminister the Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange, SharePoint, and TeamsConduct system backups, monitor performance, and proactively identify potential issues before they impact operationsTechnical Project SupportAssist with cloud migration initiatives, system implementations, and automation tool deploymentsConfigure and deploy new hardware and software for end users; participate in IT onboarding for new employeesTest new systems and applications before organization-wide deployment and document technical procedures and user guidesCoordinate with vendors for system installations, maintenance, and equipment procurementIT Operations CoordinationMaintain IT asset inventory and equipment tracking systemsSchedule and oversee maintenance windows, system updates, and assist with compliance and security assessmentsMaintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT processesQualifications:Experience & Technical Knowledge3–5 years of experience in technical support or system administration roles, with a proven background in help desk operations and user supportProficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy; working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud-based servicesUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and experience with network troubleshooting and infrastructure supportExperience with helpdesk ticketing systems, remote support tools, and endpoint security tools including antivirus and firewall managementBasic PowerShell or batch scripting capabilities preferred; experience supporting remote workers and distributed teams a plusLeadership & Interpersonal SkillsStrong customer service orientation with a patient, professional demeanor when supporting end users of varying technical proficiencyClear written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical usersAbility to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing demands, and work independently under pressureHigh ethical standards, honesty, and integrity in all professional conductCommitment to upholding Landmark Builders’ core valuesPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldMicrosoft certifications (Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified, Windows Server) or CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+) preferredExperience with ITIL framework, backup and disaster recovery systems, and knowledge of AI tools and automation technologiesBackground supporting construction or project-based business environments a plus but not requiredAbout Landmark Builders:Founded in 1975, Landmark Builders is a full-service commercial construction company headquartered in Winston-Salem, NC, with offices in Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC.
