Senior Estimator / Project Manager

Senior Estimator/PMThis position is assigned to our Donegal Construction NY location and is responsible for monitoring and evaluating bid opportunities, reviewing project specifications, preparing quote packages, and coordinating engaged projects from origination to scheduling, execution, and invoicing. Projects may be somewhat routine to complex in nature. Serve as a mentor, advisor, coach and trainer to non-senior level Estimators/PMs.Essential job duties include developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, actively soliciting and responding to bid opportunities, preparing and distributing quote packages, effectively tracking status of bids, implementing value engineering practices, thoroughly reviewing contracts and sub-contracts, collaborating with team members, maintaining customer information, partnering with operations team, visiting local job sites, investigating and addressing variances, creating invoices, and maintaining effective working relationships.Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include an existing, transferable book of business within industry/market, a proven track record of generating revenue, a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or comparable field, minimum seven years estimating experience, project management experience, high organization and detail orientation, strong technical skills, bid software experience, excellent communication skills, proficiency in analyzing data, and strong negotiation skills.Working conditions and physical demands include working in an indoor office, use of office equipment and computers, occasional lifting of supplies and materials, extended sedentary periods, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, movement, and repetitive motions.
