Come join our team and help us continue NASA’s exciting mission of space exploration.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe successful candidate will perform engineering assessments and analyses on the International Space Station, Commercial Vehicles (manned and unmanned) payloads and experiments that are flown on International (e.g. Progress or Soyuz) or commercial vehicles (SpaceX, CST-100). These tasks will include the following:\n\nIdentify and quantify risk\n\nAssure compliance with NASA safety requirements\n\nProvide detailed reports and recommendations for mitigation strategies\n\nPrepare and present technical presentations\n\nParticipate in Safety Panel Reviews\n\nReview flight documents, operational scenarios, and subsequent changes for safety impact\n\nParticipate in associated meetings\n\nProvide real-time and post-flight engineering support for flight anomaly investigations\n\nWork with customers – NASA, Space Station contractors, and International Partners\n\nRequired Education:\n\nBS degree in Engineering or related Science/Technical field (Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred)\n\nComplete any assigned technical training or certification program to support the customer’s Safety Panel Review requirements\n\nRequired Experience/Skills:\n\n1 to 5 years related experience\n\nSelf-starter, self-motivated\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nMust possess good interpersonal skills. Ability to develop excellent working relationships with customers, peers, and management\n\nAbility to utilize Microsoft Office Suite of Tools to prepare reports, presentations, and charts\n\nKnowledge and use of personal computer with typical business software\n\nShould be willing to travel (\nPreferred Skills:\n\nFamiliarity with the NASA organization and with the International Space Station (ISS) subsystems and components\n\nNASA system flight safety review process experience\n\nExperience with direct participation in conducting and documenting space system safety review\n\nAn understanding of NASA Handbook 51700 and 50021\n\nAn understanding of system safety hazards analysis process\n\nRequired:\nCandidate must be a US Citizen and able to pass a public trust security clearance.\n\nSalary:\nSalary at CYFOR Technologies is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 annually .
